Description
This casting represents the standard McKenzie & Holland signal post finial. Dimensions are approximately 37mm high x 6mm wide.
The finial was usually found on top of a wooden (sometimes lattice) post or doll carrying a full-sized arm, and is most familiar from its use on the North Eastern Railway. The Taff Vale, Rhymney, North Staffordshire, Great Eastern, and Highland railways also used it, as did a number of Colonial railways.
