Description
This casting represents the standard NBR signal lamp case. Dimensions are approximately 11½mm high x 7mm wide across the lenses. The design, with its double ventilator cowl, was unique to this railway. Post-grouping conversion of signals to upper quadrant arms normally saw replacement of the lamp with the LNER standard case (SC025), as the lamp would have to move from the right to the left hand side of the post.
