Description
This design was introduced by the Great Western Railway in the 1940s, and the design was continued by BR’s Western Region. As shown in the photograph, the etch produces a 4-doll bracket; by removing parts of the bracket and platform, a 3-doll signal may be constructed instead.
The bracket assembly is 114mm (16’3″) or 79mm (11’3″) wide for a 4 or 3-doll signal respectively.
The parts are etched in 0.018″ brass.
To model a complete signal as shown, you will need: a base post (T316); dolls (T18); signal arms and balance levers (S015 series and SC041/1); finials (SC018); lamps (SC04); and a ladder (S09 series).
